The 5th International Feng Shui Convention (IFSC) 2008 will be held at the Suntec Singapore
International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 22 & 23 November 2008.
This year's Convention titled “Feng Shui – Science,
Culture or Superstition?” is jointly organised by the International Feng Shui Association (IFSA)
and TTG Asia Media.
Guests include prolific author and practitioner Lillian Too, from Malaysia who would give a
keynote speech on her take on the often misunderstood ancient practice,
on how much Feng Shui is based on logic or superstition, or both.
Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai will examine the essence of a Feng Shui professional,
to be both credible and successful.
Others like Tan Khoon Yong, Raymond Lo, and Tony Goh Song How will respectively discuss the development
and management of gaming resorts like the Integrated Resorts (IRs) vis-a-vis the practice of
“Luck Management”, a take on Feng Shui used in speculation in stocks and shares,
and Risk Management, and case studies will touch upon how the concept of the
“Feng Shui Quotient” (FSQ) affects the input of Feng Shui in the real estate profession
concerning homes and business.
There will be two panel discussions with international guests,
including one where guests from different professional backgrounds will share their personal
experiences on how Feng Shui plays a role in their various industries.
Another will discuss the development and future of Feng Shui a a certified study and practice.
This event promises to inspire and enhance the understanding of delegates – both believers
and skeptics in the practice of Feng Shui with regards to everyday life issues,
as well a question the very function of Feng Shui set against a modern
and contemporary setting such as ours.
Delegates this year will be given an opportunity to go on a 3-Day post Convention tour of
Malaysia led by Tan Khoon Yong, covering places of “Feng Shui”
interest such as the Petronas Twin Tower, World of Feng Shui Mid Valley Megamall
in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, and learn about “Ying” Feng Shui along the way
to the peak of Genting – City of Entertainment.
